Roses without form

Purple red pink roses without form Skies blood red with tainted grey hues Paving stitches over roadways to cover the tears in the landscape Painting buildings to cover the old bones beneath Blackened ocean waters foam with sick dying cells of lifeless creatures A sewage smell hovers over the coast lines from time to time Trees you lean on and they snap like dried twigs under the weight Fragile mother earth we swore to protect She does not need protection from us We do need protection from her Purple red pink roses without form written by: Derrick A Jasper 12/27/2015

Desert of love

There is a dryness in this desert of love We play the roles assigned to us No one strays for very long We cast our hearts into the abyss of life And the dryness never fades away written by: Derrick A Jasper Dec 19, 2015

Just around the corner dad

Just around the corner he said waving to me from his tiny three wheeled bike Come on hurry up dad we gotta go, just around here, his tiny hand and arm still waving me on He darted out so fast there was nothing any one could have done I ran as fast as my legs could carry me to where he lay under the car He looked at me and said with his tiny little mouth, its just around the corner dad come on written by: Derrick A Jasper 12/17/2015

We

We sit with the masses awaiting our sentence We sit in our numbers hoping we will get chosen We are the ones everyone forgot We are not children nor elder We have no place to call our home We have only days before we know We sit in our numbers hoping we will get chosen We sit with the masses awaiting our sentence written by:derrick A jasper11/30/2015

Potters

Dam potters dream Here lay I filled with dreams Chasing dreams through the moonlight Feeling the dreams fading away now Running too far behind the dream to catch it Dreams fading away so fast with time, heavy breathing I can hear The dream chaser they will call me, my legacy lives on The potter sat looking at the pot he had made The wheel and hands together made this great pot And dreams had passed when potter's pot was broken Dam potters dream written by: Derrick A Jasper Nov 24th, 2015

Terror & Death

Warm wet feeling a coldness creeps inside Hear the breath sounds in and out over and over Dark stained hands raised over his body Sword dripping wet from his kill He seeks a vengeance he can not have Their bodies tossed in an open pit Waste no dirt to cover the massacre No time to celebrate no time to laugh Serious stupid men crawling on their belles as he feasts Like a lifeless statue filled with dark matter Inside of her now he lays down quieted by his release His mind dances through the steps of death He dreams in black and white The gun fire rang out Warm wet feeling a coldness creeps inside written by: Derrick A Jasper Nov 19th, 2015

Coffin awaits

A coffin awaits me in the future A box filled with me inside A lifetime of dreams unanswered A lifetime of under achievements A dreamers worst nightmare A lovers last remembrance A child's biggest fear A coffin awaits me in the future written by: Derrick A Jasper Nov 17th 2015

Threatened

He points and yells evil His finger demands my attention I walk over to the man screaming and pointing He pushes me away He yells, you are filthy He yells, I am the devil He yells and waves his arms I look at him with amusement He reaches in his shirt He has a knife He is yelling coming toward me I pull the trigger He falls to the ground knife in hand He is yelling no more Am I evil written by: Derrick A Jasper Nov 17th, 2015

Quiet

Lay here now quietly Don't move an inch just lay here We watch the waves from the balcony We drink the wine and taste the grapes Her hands tremble as she touches me My hands tremble as I touch her We meet somewhere in the middle We are fear and excitement wrapped together It's the wrapping that comes off after the years Lay here quietly now she demands I can't stop laughing at her request And we lay there watching the waves from the balcony We are quietly together tonight written by: Derrick A Jasper Nov 17th, 2015

She loves me

She touched me with a purpose She said things to me like no one else She listens to me She politely corrects me She calms me She makes me love life more She teaches me She finds my lost keys for me She tells me I am the best She holds me close like no one before She kisses me with gentleness She loves me and I her written by: Derrick A Jasper Nov 17th, 2015

My nails have gotten thicker today My joints have gotten redder today My skin has gotten thinner today My feet have gotten bigger today My nose has gotten bigger today My hair has gotten thinner today My eyes have gotten darker today My hearing has gotten worse today My back is having trouble today My elbow is bigger today My teeth are looser today Am I dead yet, just waiting for today written by: Derrick A Jasper 11/16/2015

Abuse alive and well

Bad boy, bad boy she yells and slaps his face Your stupid, she yells over and over You'll never amount to anything she tells him day after day Your ugly, maybe someone will love you but I doubt it Whippings, spankings, yelling, tugging, pulling, slapping Never talk about sex, never talk about fear, never show emotions Teaching kids to hate over difference Jailing children for having sex Jailing kids for sex-ting Threats of loss of freedom for being a kid Suspended from school for wearing the wrong things Building gates, fences, razor wire around schools Testing children until they are so nervous they need medical attention Continually giving mixed messages, don't hit, but do kill if you need to Feeding children sugar and fat foods until they are so fat they can't breath or walk Grabbing kids tiny arms, jerking them around in stores Teaching embarrassment, teaching fear, teaching stupidity How do you teach your children?

Foxes and hounds

Your lies burn in me like a firestorm The tempest and the dammed should not bed together Foxes and hounds do not lay side by side Your brown eyes of shit filled lies Beat your chest harder baby boy Rub your hurt egos - do not you dare to cry Burning in my stomach are my feelings for you We shall meet again and dare not be the fool The tempest and the dammed should not bed together Foxes and hounds do not lay side by side written by: Derrick A Jasper October 17th, 2015

Crumbs

Crumbs laid out before me i followed the wire filled path A red wire A black wire Plain copper wire lay in front of me I can smell your scent an enchanted flower My heart races am I right in what stands before me? Never could I have have been so blind Apologies to you for missing all the signs But I am not what I appear to be So please I beg you, leave me be Take your crumbs away And now we know red to red And black to black Copper is the ground or neutral Crumbs laid out before me written by: Derrick A Jasper October 17th, 2015

Far from fine

What we lost can never be replaced. Two childhoods, robbed from each of us. We survived the tormented mental, emotional and physical abuses of mad woman. A father who never stood by us, never drew a sober breath. A man who battled stomach cancer. It was the cancer that stole his life spirit. He no longer cared. He had seen the end. He knew nothing mattered that he had done. If he had any fears they were never placed on us as children. He left once when we were young. There was an emptiness after he left. But I never felt close to him again. Betrayal Other men, other women, and the constant yelling. Like a small war zone.No one is getting their way. The blood shed over hatred, that no man can understand. Using god as a weapon. Over and over they would battle.Sometimes all day and night for days. Mealtime was a dangerous navigation through an invisible emotional riot. You never knew which pace to keep while chewing. An open hand or a fist to the head. The food would pop out and ...

Blood

Blood drying on my hands Redness so bright then turning black Iron smell hovers in the air The smell of gunfire runs straight into my nose Her hair matted, her face had a blood stained tear Their lifeless bodies laid there Mortified I crumbed to the ground and wept, thinking why My fists punching at the dirt My knuckles bleeding in remembrance of those now gone The spree of killing Killing the spree Blood drying on my hands written by: Derrick A Jasper October 6th 2015 In memory of all the lives taken by gunfire

Sweet Deceiver

Lies upon lies A Gothic house built upon deceit She rolls her eyes and grins Like a bohemian she flutters and bobs Clever she believes she is When rain pours everything appears clean Liar, thief and cheat Behold your greatness I scoff at you You are a benevolent bitch written by: Derrick A Jasper

Clear cut

Moss is green this time of year A glimmering green that enhances the feelings Dew dripping from leaves Birds pick and scratch at the earth for food Waves rush in and out Green covers the hills Then the empty wasteland of cut trees Hills emptied and no replanting seen Gutted from greed and the here and now Beauty has a price written by: Derrick A Jasper

Love tortures

Taken by surprise Running to the oceans edge Seeing light over dark Feeling your hands on my body Warmth turning cold Come to me, my love Hold me in your depth Torch your tongue from your ugly words Stealing your heart from your chest Holding darkness in my hands Sharing was never a choice She lies she cries she will eventually die Calling for your love but it has gone Taken by surprise Running to the oceans edge written by: Derrick A Jasper

Neutral

I hear your breath as the waves rush inland Cold nights begin now with lots of wind Seeking a chance for a moment to slip into you She turned away and his hand dropped down No words spoken quiet fell Hearts laid open Seeing doors to hell Flames burn red hot dancing around She cursed you as her hands trembled again A death to you which I have done a thousand ways Hoping in her mind today he will come take her away I hear your breath as the waves rush inland written by: Derrick A Jasper August 16th 2015

Displaced

Creepy, stabbing feeling waking me from my slumber Burning flames running down my arm to my hand Cold as ice the digits on my hands The voice in my head tells me to move on Stabbing, creepy, burning, flashing around my spine Dam legs won't work right today My arms have a mind of their own now Voices keep saying exercise, exercise you will feel better Exercise and pain begins with burning and flashing, stabbing, crabby little twinge Irritated I go on with handfuls of chemicals to ease the suffering Bold hornet crawling up my bicep into my shoulder stabbing, burning, twinge Turned to use it and I can not Lost in the time of pain again

Watching

Water sprays upon my bare chest I walk closer to the end of the road She calls for me to return Chances are good the water will take me away She touches me with her warm fingers I stand holding nothing but the truth She calls for me to return Watching the water ripple A wave catches her off guard and down she goes Floating was never easier than today Water sprays upon my bare chest As I watch her go away written by: Derrick A Jasper July 2 2015

Panic

Panic causes her hands to grow icy cold The body lays before her upon the floor She has murdered him through her words and deeds Masterfully he has taken the lies to heart Burned inside the death grip he has around his neck, he sqeezes Coldness run's up and down his spine A woman who is angered by him lays upon the ground Panic causes him to run away and hide today A child now grown to a man he sees the blackness in their hearts Ice runs down the walls of the building, they are in hell now written by: Derrick A Jasper June 9th 2015

Broken

A heart torn asunder by venom Venom spews from your cursed lips Pepper courses through your veins A stench I can now smell most widely in here She growns and moans as he climbs into her A vile creature she lay next to him licking her claws Blood dripping from my chest as you have unleashed the best Tables turn tables turn written by: Derrick A Jasper June 9th 2015

Listen

Listen - hear the sound of nothing but wind Listen - hear the rain pouring down Listen - to your heart racing from fear Listen - to the cold as it hangs around Listen - hear the words flying around the room Listen - to the frog belching his sounds out for a mate Listen - you have stopped listening to others Listen - drip, drip, drip Listen - an echo can be heard Listen - Can you hear me now written by: Derrick A Jasper April 11th 2015

Crows

Crows eating the flesh off the dead Crows circle us like vultures waiting for death to answer Crows taking things from your car,  how stupid we still are Crows sitting in the parking lot of every fast food joint Crows holding on the sticks just for wedding days Crows showing us how to fly Crows crowing at the morning sunshine waking us up Crows catching the soul as it stands outside Crows are here again scrapping their beaks on broken love written by: Derrick A Jasper April 4th 2015

All changes in time

Silver crusted ground no water to be found Dying trees surround and now here we are laying down Air we can  not breath food to poisoned to eat Here they sit now we crumble at their feet How times changed for the once proud Indian tribes Now slaves to money whites and bribes Silver crusted ground no water to be found Dying trees surround and now here we are laying down written by: Derrick A Jasper April 11th 2015

Vision passing

Vision passing into the abyss as I fumble to see in the dark There is no glory left in the glory of the hole digger Seeing the past as the future gives me grave concern A darkness settles over me again knowing the lies she shares Caring not for lovers scorned does she really believe in lust Games played out in a calm manner, laughing in the hell now created This hole you have created you shall fall into its depth A shit storm of crap flying all around you smelling of death now Breaking the glass won't change the evil that dwells inside your being Lies and games, bullshit they spew and you listen Vision passing into the abyss as I fumble to see in the dark There is no glory left in the glory of the hole digger written by: Derrick A Jasper April 11th 2015

Here they be tears

Tears running down the cheeks like tiny rain drops here they be Mine is the sad tale of what could have been Lost to all who saw me, I am but bitter and now frail My own hand cut into the flesh Feasting on her heart they turn to see the light Blood pouring from the mouth he begins to shout Cries for help go unanswered and he dies Not by my hand she cries I am old and frail now you can see Leave me alone child go away, set me free Tears running down the cheeks like tiny rain drops here they be written by:Derrick A Jasper Feb 19th 2015

Washing

Washing down the river the leaf travels by Washing through your hair the soap runs by Washing up the dogs the soap gets in my eye Washing down the road the feather passes us by Washing down the waterfall the tiny fish learns to fly Washing down the snow banks he climbs ever so high Washing into the memories of you I begin to cry Washing past the lines in stores they don't even try Washing clothes today now that we said good bye Written by: Derrick A Jasper February 15th 2015

Addiction free the pain

Pour the liquor, swallow the pill, snort the dust on the table Inject the poison into my veins Drop the acid on my tongue Put the drug up my ass Drop the liquid into my eye Any thing just to get high Taking the edge off, taking the pain away Drugs, caffeine, food, sex, cutting, role games its all the same Everyone is an addict if only for one day written by: Derrick A Jasper February 7th 2015

Water

Water pouring from above, we fear it, revel in it, and dance to it As the water finds a way through the now leaky roof into the walls they built Bugs find hallowed spots within the rotted wood Spiders eat what climbs stupidly into their webs A dinner never missed by one so clever it seems As the dripping is heard in the pans and buckets on the floor Purchased with monies collected from the crowned prince He now sits alone typing at the key board of life fleeting as it is The water dripping into puddles on the floor Water filled the rooms up and chased all the bugs away Seems the greatest power here today is water having its own way Written by: Derrick A Jasper February 7th 2015

Superior intellect

Superior intellect as he cups himself in a closet of emotionalism Clinging to the days of University, when women were plenty and time etched by Holding them was never his goal, only penetrating and thunder felt at his feet Echoing the last days of glory come rushing into his head Seizing upon his bodies grandeur he collapses to the floor  Fractures happen when youth eludes us Death follows those who have higher intellect as it does those who do not Weeping and whimpering heard in the late hours of the night Ghostly times we have created, they are now not so bright Clamours of old she lays easy at his side As she knows his thunder will slowly die He trembles at the thought of the emptiness he created A half ling stands in the hall way waiting for them to teach it love Superior intellect could not make this creature whole He crumbles into a million echo-less moments as his lays on the cold floor The superior mind and body he once had now withered and di...

Rambling whores

Tis wicked womanly ways that scorch my soul Bite this trembling heart filled with pain Whores rambling between the beds of men of riches and fame Blackened thieves tortured and be raved Hooves aloof to the road when wet, no one beckons me to come Son of blood I am cast out Died for your sins I think not they shout Twisted my head around my neck and turned my insides dark Misspelled your name and slandered you behind your back They care not for the feast, they eat and drink the wines of wicked women Calling into the dark paths of treasure we seek the gold Lamenting her tortured soul with silver dust and trinkets of old Shaking the bed frame, back to the wall hideous beast she cried For the day of reckoning has not passed into your house as of late So lay her lifeless whoring body down here with me Scrape to my chest the wickedness she has given unto the children of the blood Seek vengeance where there is none to seek and you shall be rewarded nothing T...

Feel the cool air

Feel the cool breeze echoing upon my skin He foretold the truth of coldness like none have seen before Shivering from the freezing air outside droplets of white dust rush onto the frozen ground From times long ago they spoke of how things came to pass White mans rule ended Indians all died no one was left to fight or even tried Animals frozen in the arms of human friends each died the cold death Frozen for all times to hide Large white droplets flying down from the sky They built treasure troves of food, water and shelter but they could not survive the cold Nothing was spared in the frozen time when all land creatures parrished and some were buried alive Can't fight the cold coming and when it does we all shall parish Feel the cool air echoing upon my skin written by: Derrick A Jasper January 27th 2015

Growing

Growing weary now I am Growing older with you by my side Growing vain in my heart unsure of my steps now Growing up they said was hard to do Growing old they told me wasn't for the weak of heart Growing into death where no life lives on Growing to be someone strong Growing she is now away from me Growing we look back at what we had Growing we held true to each other one more day Growing through the loss of time and place written by:Derrick A Jasper January 16th 2015

Cold air

Cold air dancing on my skin I breath in to know I am still here The loss of touch has given way to deep dark despair Pain vibrates down my spin as I sit and write today Nothing takes away the darkness inside Stars seen as night opens up without the city lights dimming my sight Coffins line the street as we sit down to eat Festivals of hope but no one has any left We dance in the mud laughing just because Tingling over my body is felt as I lay here and weep She tells me I love you, words are cheap Cold air dancing on my skin  written by: Derrick A Jasper January 14th 2015

Times

Long dark hair feathered over my bare chest We lay here for hours longing for more She is youthful I am not She is beautiful I am rough We love the mornings as we drink the dark water We stare into each others eyes as if we never really knew Hope never fades when I am with you Misty mornings cold nights we walk on through Love adorns our hearts and we leap into our days Never twisting fate - fate has its own way written by: Derrick A Jasper January 3rd 2015
